Back in 1986 when I was still at school I drew this of David Bowie from the movie “Labyrinth” which I was mad about at the time. It captured my imagination and helped spark my interest in Special effects and Art which led me to going to Art School and University. Sadly though the drawing has seen better days. The drawing was used as part of my Portfolio for Art college entry when i was 15 and at the time I used a product called “Pritt stick” to mount it on some card to be inserted into a binder which formed my Portfolio at the time. If you look at the drawing the glue has had a terrible effect on the paper which wasn’t the best paper in the world but it was all I had. It’s seeped through, saturating the paper over time and created streaky shadows, basically ruining it.
Lesson learnt! Don’t use “Pritt Stick”. It’s rubbish…
haha of course Pritt Stick was defacto glue in art school. Still looks great though!
